S/he is responsible for development and growth of IDC’s Research, Advisory and Go-To market business across the Middle East region. This position works as part of the report sales team and carries a sales quota of contract value. Is accountable for the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close.
Duties include developing and implementing an account plan. In addition, will implement and execute sales demand strategies. In order to be considered for this role, the person must have the ability to manage the sales process.
Criterion: Have in-depth knowledge of IDC’s products and services.
Obligation: Willing to travel within the Middle East.
Requirements: Be proficient in Account Management and Account Planning skills.
Qualifications: Have the personality and an aptitude for sales.
Experience: A minimum 7 years of work experience in the technology sector.
Education: Bachelor’s degree; however, Masters or advanced degree is a plus.
Language: Possess English and Arabic language skills.
- Research Director IT Markets (IDC Job ID: 2016-2048)
S/he is responsible for researching, writing and advising clients on IT market data, using case papers, case studies, presentations at conferences and events, technical whitepapers and other thought-leading research reports/studies, as needed leveraging IDC’s unique tech content.
Duties include providing thought leadership on IT Markets. Will make contributions to IDC’s research and business.
Criterion: Must have knowledge of the IT industry and MEA markets. Show interest and enthusiasm for the IT markets.
Necessity: Needs to be a knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IT Markets such as PC’s, tablets, wearables, storage, servers, cloud infrastructure, integrated systems, PC monitors, professional displays and mobile phones.
Familiarity: Shall be familiar with emerging business and technology trends and their implications for client and its customers.
Requirements: Be able to develop and give presentations.
Qualities: Have the ability to identify changes to technology and assess the competitive impact.
Experience: Have some work experience in the technology sector.
Education: No degree mentioned; however, higher education is likely preferred.
Language: Possess English and Arabic language skills.
